Some Tips on Etiquette

At the Bath
Wash your body outside the bath before getting into the bath.
Open air bath at
Ten-nin-kaku
Do not jump into the bathtub.
Keep your towel out of the bathtub for public hygiene.
Dry your body before re-entering the changing room.
Do not wash your laundry in the bathroom.
At the Hotel
Some hotels provide a Japanese bathrobe (Yukata) in each room. Going out of the hotel room while wearing a bathrobe is commonplace in a Japanese style hot spring hotel, but not in a Western stylehotel, where bathrobes and slippers are only to be worn in your room.
Do not take the hotel amenities home with you.
At the Mountain
 
Please attend the lecture of the ranger at the Sugatami Station, Mt. Asahi Ropeway.
Do not litter.

Never walk off of the trail, i.e. wooden planked trails, or roped paths.
Do not bring home any plants or stones.
Do not feed wild animals.
Please use the toilet at the hotel.
Please be sure to wear enough clothing to protect yourself against the cold mountain air.
